About This Virtual PD: 

In this session, we’ll examine the statistics and real-life experiences of Americans who live without full access to traditional banking services. Through data and vignettes, we’ll explore the reasons people choose (or are forced) to manage money outside the banking system, and the financial trade-offs that result. You’ll have the opportunity to reflect, discuss, and consider strategies to help students understand these real-world financial decisions.
