Start the New Year with Assessment Ideas & FAFSA Facts

The first week of Virtual PD of 2024 is kicking off with a bang. Get project ideas, tips for using Chat GPT in your classroom, and join for a special session about the Penn State/NGPF Financial Literacy Progress & Efficacy Assessment to measure your students' growth. Don't miss Thursday's Speaker Series with New York Times finance journalist Ron Lieber, who recently wrote about the messy rollout of the new FAFSA. He'll provide insights for you to share with your students on how to navigate the often confusing landscape of scholarships and financial aid.

This week's NGPF Virtual PD sessions guarantee to provide resources ready for immediate implementation.

Join us for:

  • Innovative ideas for assessing students and creating project-based learning that recaps learning in creative ways
  • Learning how to find what you need quickly on the NGPF website and understand where the various resources types are housed within the curriculum
  • See a short demo of Chat GPT and discuss ideas with other educators on how you might use in your classroom
  • Get your questions answered about the classroom-based research effort measuring the efficacy of financial literacy education (see below)

Special Info Session: Introducing the Financial Literacy Progress & Efficacy Assessment

This school year, we launched the Financial Literacy Progress & Efficacy Assessment, a classroom-based research effort measuring the impact of financial literacy education, with over 17,000 students participating.

Your participation provides you with valuable information on student growth to share with your administrators and also helps promote access to personal finance education for all U.S. high school students.

Have more questions? Join us this Tuesday, January 9th at 4pm PT/7pm ET for a Virtual PD Session with details about the assessment.
