NGPF On-Demand: Saving Modules
NGPF On-Demand is a professional development opportunity that allows teachers to deepen their content knowledge on their own schedule and at their own pace.
With 30 modules covering 15 different topics/units, with have TWO modules focused on saving.
Module #1: The Psychology of Saving
This module investigates the psychological factors that make saving difficult and explores strategies to overcome those challenges. Here are some highlights from “The Psychology of Saving” module:
- Learn about the obstacles and cognitive biases that make savings difficult and share your learning with other teachers. Here is a peek at one collaborative board in the module:
- Watch a video explaining 3 Psychological Tricks to Help You Save More Money
Module #2: Savings Tools & Strategies
This module explores common savings tools such as traditional savings accounts, online savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit as well as strategies to save more money. Here are some highlights from the “Savings Tools & Strategies” module:
- Review an interactive graph from Statista that shows the personal savings rate in the United States.
