Help Us Reach A New PD Milestone
Can you believe we are almost through the month of October? Congrats to you all, as we know this is a tough month at any school year. As the (calendar) year begins to wind down, it is natural for us all to begin reflecting. This year we reached a few milestones at NGPF: we celebrated our 10 year anniversary and we reached 10,000 subscribers!
We are so close to reaching a new milestone: 500,000 hours of PD! Yes, half-million!
As we get closer and closer to this half-a-million milestone, YOU could be the one to help us get there. There are many ways to experience NGPF PD: Cert Courses, Virtual PD, On-Demand Modules, and more!
Cert Courses
Certification Courses are the best way to dive deep into content areas. Whether it is a 3 or 5 week course, teachers get to work with a facilitator for 10 hours, build confidence on content knowledge, and highlight the NGPF curriculum. We offer live and self-paced courses, so you can choose what works best for your schedule.
You can always check out the Cert Course calendar to see what courses are being offered next.
Virtual PD
Join us for live PD sessions where we spend an hour going through a topic in personal finance, a particular part of our curriculum, build community with teachers across the country, and share best practices. Here is the schedule for our upcoming PD sessions. And be sure to check out our Speaker Series, every Thursday at 4pm PT/7pm PT.
If you miss or can't attend a Speaker Series session, you can always catch up by listening to the recording as a NGPF Podcast.
On-Demand PD
If you would rather work at your own pace, we have you covered. Look into our Beginner Series or our Starter Pack to earn PD credits and get up to speed with NGPF, all on your time. These modules are approximately an hour long and can be completed from wherever you are.
Our On-Demand Beginner Series includes:
Our Starter Pack is 12 modules designed to build fundamental personal finance content knowledge. You will find 2 modules from the following units:
- Banking & Budgeting: Checking & Savings Accounts, Online Banking, & Banking Fees and Budgeting Strategies
- Credit: Building & Managing Credit and Into the Credit-Verse
- Insurance: Property Insurance and Personal Insurance
- Investing: Stock Market 101 and Investment Accounts
- Paying for College: FAFSA & Types of Financial Aid and Financial Aid Offers & Student Loan Repayment

However you choose to complete Professional Development, we are excited for our community to reach this massive milestone - half a million hours of PD, wow.
The PD team looks forward to seeing you in session soon!
