Thank You!: NGPF By the Numbers in 2018
Thanks to Christian for pulling together an awesome infographic to capture the various ways that the community of personal finance educators used NGPF in 2018. As many of you know, 2018 represented a year where many in the community discovered NGPF for the first time. Thanks to all who have recommended our resources or professional development activities to their colleagues as "word of mouth" was the #1 way that teachers found us last year. By spreading the word about NGPF, you brought more than 10,000 teachers into the community!
You fire us up and inspire us everyday by making a difference in the lives of your students. It's comments like these that motivate us to continue to find new, creative and more effective ways to serve you:
"Your Curriculum has become my "go to" resource for my Personal Finance class. We use the Question of the Day every day and students anxiously await Friday for FinCap Friday. The amount of material you are supplying and the variety of resources is making teaching Personal Finance much easier and I thank you for it!"
“The one day experience [FinCamp] has inspired me to pursue greater opportunities of promoting and developing financial literacy in my classroom, my community, etc.(and beyond!). ”
"I love the webinars. I participated in one yesterday also. I wish I could complete all of my in-service hours this way!"

Looking forward to partnering with you along the way!
Thank you,
The NGPF Team (Abby, Christian, Greg, Jessica, Laura, Rita, Sonia, Tim and Yanely)
About the Authors
Christian Sherrill
Former teacher, forever financial education nerd. As NGPF's Director of Growth & Advocacy, Christian is laser-focused on our mission to guarantee all students a rigorous personal finance course before crossing the high school graduation stage. Having paid down over $40k in student loans in the span of 3 years - while living in the Bay Area on an entry level teacher's salary - he's eager to help the next generation avoid financial pitfalls one semester at a time.
Tim Ranzetta
Tim's saving habits started at seven when a neighbor with a broken hip gave him a dog walking job. Her recovery, which took almost a year, resulted in Tim getting to know the bank tellers quite well (and accumulating a savings account balance of over $300!). His recent entrepreneurial adventures have included driving a shredding truck, analyzing executive compensation packages for Fortune 500 companies and helping families make better college financing decisions. After volunteering in 2010 to create and teach a personal finance program at Eastside College Prep in East Palo Alto, Tim saw firsthand the impact of an engaging and activity-based curriculum, which inspired him to start a new non-profit, Next Gen Personal Finance.
